Coming from someone who does not have all the answers I thank you Chief. I am happy to admit all the forty plus years I have served I never had to chop through a roof with an ax. We always had chain saws until some one came up with the gas powered rotary saw so it is good to have learned this tip.

That's pretty flimsy material - you could get through that with a butcher knife. Don't remember seeing a roof that thin on a unless rotten on a house left unattended in the weather for 150 years.

Looks nice, In the N.E. people don't use luan on there roofs !

I learned this a long time ago. I have used it in practice and real life. It works even better than what they show on the video.
