Novacool UEF 3D Fire - Industrial Fire World 2011
Novacool Universal Extinguishing Foam being applied on a 3 dimensional flammable liquid fire at 0.5%. As you can see the fire is easily extinguished. This is achieved through Novacool's unique ability to cool the environment rapidly thereby preventing any possiblity of re-ignition. Traditional foams would only be able to coat the material creating a vapor seal. However, the 3D component of the fire would allow re-ignition simply because its impossible to seal a dripping liquid. The only other method would be to close the valve, which would put firefighters in danger.
