Final Plea from Dying 9/11 Firefighter
FDNY Firefighter John McNamara, who spent 500 hours in the rescue and recovery effort at the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks, died of colon cancer last month. Just a few months before his death, he spoke from his hospital bed to urge Congress to pass the James Zadroga bill to help those responders, recovery workers, residents, and returning workers to get health care for illnesses caused by 9/11 toxic exposures.
